- **Event Description**: Join Bangor Beautiful, Maine Audubon, and the City of Bangor's Forestry Division as we plant 19 native street trees in Abbot Square, home to the Bangor Farmers' Market. All trees have been generously donated by Maine Audubon.

Our goal is to make this area greener, cooler, and more beautiful by adding native trees to the green spaces around the square. These trees will help provide shade, support wildlife, manage stormwater, improve the Farmers' Market experience, and grow Bangor’s urban tree canopy.

We’d love your help planting!

When: Friday, October 16, 2026

Shift 1:    8am to 9:30am
Break:     9:30am-10am
Shift 2:    10am to 12pm 

Where: 140 Harlow Street, Abbot Square, Bangor
What to bring: Gloves, water, and a shovel if you have one. We’ll have tools available as well.
