Germany is one of the most diverse countries considering accents. Hardly anybody speaks Standard German in everyday life. Most people have a regional accent which particularly dominates their speech in the South of Germany, in Austria and Switzerland. In this session we will talk about language variation and discuss strategies on how to deal with it as a Modern Language learner. This sessions is especially useful to improve listening comprehension skills of pupils and raise the awareness for language diversity in general.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is free for maintained LEA schools, but there will be a fee of £15 per pupil for independent/private/English schools. Routes Cymru will invoice schools after the event.
