The series, directed by Lynn, (also known for her work on The Vietnam War, Hemmingway, and The Holocaust), executive produced by Ken Burns and Sam Pollard, produced by Lucas Frank, Vanessa González-Block, Lynn Novick, and Prisca Pointdujour, will air over four consecutive nights on Maine Public Television beginning on Monday, November 16.Maine Public is very excited to bring to Maine a special preview of the series created specifically for our audience. This sneak peek will take place at the Gracie Theater in Bangor on Monday, August 24. The special screening will be hosted by Jennifer Rooks with special remarks by Lynn. Lynn will join a panel including Maine Department of Corrections Commissioner Randall Liberty, Susan Sharon, Maine Public’s Deputy News Director, Tori Scott, the Community Engagement Coordinator at Reentry Sisters, and Lucas Frank, documentarian who has worked with Ken Burns and Lynn Novick on projects including THE U.S. AND THE HOLOCAUST, HEMINGWAY, and THE VIETNAM WAR.
