Join us for an unforgettable 2-day introduction to Snowdonia, taking in some of the region's most iconic mountains, classic ridges, and spectacular views. This challenging weekend is designed for experienced walkers with a good level of fitness who want to explore the very best of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

Day 1 – Siabod to Snowdon

Meeting in Capel Curig, we begin our adventure with an ascent of Moel Siabod (850m) via its excellent Grade 1 scramble. For those who prefer, there is an alternative route that avoids the scramble section.
From the summit, we continue to Moel Gid (733m) before traversing a series of rolling grassy ridges with stunning panoramic views. Along the way, we bag the quick summits of Clogwyn Bwlch y Maen (548m) and Carnedd y Cribau (591m).
Our route then turns towards the highest mountain in Wales, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). Approaching from Pen-y-Pass, we initially follow the Miners' Track before detouring to the impressive summit of Y Lliwedd (818m). From there, we join the Watkins Path for the final ascent to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (1,085m).
The day isn't over yet. Descending via the Ranger Path, we make one final climb to Moel Cynghorion (674m), a superb viewpoint offering incredible perspectives of Snowdon and the surrounding peaks.
After a demanding but rewarding day in the mountains, we descend into Llanberis for a well-earned meal and drink at a local pub.

Day 2 – The Glyderau Traverse

After breakfast, we set out to explore the dramatic and rugged Glyderau mountain range.
Our first summit is Elidir Fawr (924m), often referred to as "Electric Mountain" due to the hydroelectric power station hidden within the mountain beneath. We then continue to Mynydd Perfedd (812m) and Carnedd y Filiast (821m), both offering fantastic views across Marchlyn Mawr Reservoir.
Retracing our steps briefly over Mynydd Perfedd, we enter the heart of the Glyderau and tackle an impressive chain of rocky summits:

Foel Goch (831m)
Y Garn (947m)
Glyder Fawr (1,001m)
Glyder Fach (994m)

After completing this classic high-level traverse, we cross our final summit, Y Foel Goch (805m), before descending back towards Plas y Brenin for a celebratory drink and to reflect on an outstanding weekend in the Welsh mountains.
