This introductory course is for companies new to exporting. This workshop will introduce you to the export processes and principles to be followed from enquiry through to delivery, providing an understanding of the documentation requirements for getting cargo to its destination successfully while remaining compliant with Customs authorities, both in the country of despatch and at arrival.
Attendees will be given an overview of the elements that comprise a sales contract including Incoterms, packing, marking and labelling requirements and how they can impact on pricing and insurance requirements. Documentary requirements for each mode of transport, the role of the freight forwarder and the process of recording exports for HMRC purposes will be discussed, along with the need for proving origin and the documents to do so.
This is an all-day course, lunch will be provided please advise of any allergies or dietary requirements.
