- **Event Description**: Nineteen years ago, my eldest son, Elis, arrived and, during the brief and turbulent 6 months he was alive, he changed my world. In the 11 years since I started running, I’ve marked his birthday by bringing people together - not in sadness, but in the spirit he inspired: connection, support, and time spent with the people who matter.

What started as a small circle of friends has grown into a beautiful annual tradition, now embraced by the Môn Milers and wider community. This year, on Sunday 21st June, we’ll gather once again in Newborough Forest to celebrate friendship, family, and the joy of simply showing up for one another.

How You Can Join In
There’s no single “right” way to take part — choose whatever feels good for you:

10k Trail Loop — 8:30am start  
A scenic first loop before joining the main group later in the morning for a different 5k loop.

5k Social Loop — 10:00am start  
A relaxed, parkrun‑style route perfect for runners, walkers, wanderers and kids on bikes.

Bike‑to‑the‑Forest Option — 7am start
A ride from Llangefni to Newborough for anyone fancying a triathlon‑flavoured morning.

After the Movement Comes the Magic
Once everyone arrives back at the forest, we’ll settle in for a laid‑back picnic, plenty of chatting, and - for the brave - a dip in the sea.

You don’t need to run, ride or walk to be part of the day. Your presence is enough.

A Day for Families
This gathering has always been about getting the kids outdoors, sandy, happy and part of something bigger than themselves. Let’s see how many we can coax away from screens and into the sunshine.?
