He gained valuable insights into performing and improvising in myriad styles of music which started to take effect in his improvisational style over time. He collaborated with the Berklee Indian Ensemble and was awarded the Berklee Achievement Scholarship (BAS) for his musical achievements. He was also an accompanist for the Berklee Five-Week Summer Program, and worked as a keyboardist with numerous singer-songwriters during his time there. In 2020, he released his debut single ‘Road to Oman’, a through-composed piece of music, which integrated different musical styles seamlessly. He is currently focused on recording and releasing an E.P. featuring several tunes he has already been performing in various venues across the country. After moving to Bangalore he initiated his own jazz trio based in Delhi, and has been a frequent collaborator of the violinist Apoorva Krishna. Aakash was recently was appointed as a piano faculty by Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music for the Spring Semester in 2022, where he introduced a custom elective titled ‘Theory For Improvisation’. ABHI TAMBEWatch: https://youtu.be/eHq4ZBOop5cAbhi Tambe is a singer-songwriter and music composer based out of Bangalore, India. Well remembered as one of the front men in the band Lounge Piranha (2004 - 2010), he turned his attention to composition and sound design after the band parted ways in 2010.Since then his work has appeared in several films and plays. From 2015 onward, he came back to focus on his songwriting craft and began to perform solo with his acoustic guitar in the classic singer-songwriter avatar. Over the winter of 2019/2020, he accomplished the Silver Bullet Tour, a solo motorcycle jaunt around India with his acoustic guitar, playing 19 shows, traversing 6000km over 56 days.
