- **Event Description**: Lasya Kalakshetra is proud to present Karna – The Untold Story, a grand theatrical adaptation of the life and struggles of Karna from the Mahabharata. Unlike traditional portrayals, our production delves into the emotional depth, moral dilemmas, and human side of Karna, blending storytelling with the rich heritage of Bharatanatyam “Sooryaputhran” [Karnan] on stage. One of our acclaimed programs, “Kurukshethra,” which was staged in various parts of India, gained name, fame, and praise. However, the character of Karna did not receive proper importance in the dance–drama. This shortage became the basic reason for the inspiration behind the manifestation of our new production. “Sooryaputhran” [Karnan], giving the central place to this character. Beginning from ‘Karna’, who was shot by arrow at the Kurukshetra war field, and through flashback, other important events in Karna’s life, such as, his birth secret, curse fell upon him, the weapon test, etc, up to his attainment of heaven (Swargarohana) will be connected and performed at the stage by a group of Dancers.
