What makes Kai Thota special is that the produce is not sent to faraway markets or sold through middlemen. Instead the food is given directly to local buyers called subscribers who support the farm through a fixed monthly payment.As a Rang De impact partner Buffalo Back has helped social investors enable women farmers and set them up for prosperity and higher incomes. Vishalakshi will share the story behind building Buffalo Back working with small and marginal farmers especially women farmers and insights from running organic farming initiatives around Bengaluru and sustaining local livelihoods.Free to attend for all to attend.
