Well just a representation. Folk art or native art has over years receded into popular culture and has been reaching audiences only as a sample. Brief glimpses or introductory showcase of such art has been the norm at celebrations mostly as part of welcoming ritual. Or at the most a stop-by side attraction at events. Maadhuryaa Foundation strives to bring forth every such art form and native culture to larger audiences and as a complete main performance in itself. Revival of art and providing a stage for artists being our motto we continue our series of work for 'art and artists'. By providing a stage for such art forms we intend to bring back artists to a visible platform as well as engage larger audiences with performances rooted in our culture. We have completed one year of our journey in this direction. "description": "Efforts for Maadhurya Foundation were initiated during 2nd wave of COVID with a primary objective to support musicians who were facing hardships due to non-availability of work. With some being the sole bread earner, it’s a huge risk for the entire family with no facilities from the govt to care for them. Our aim was to cater to needy artists w.r.t to their daily needs and healthcare.\n\nFortunately situation started improving by March 2022 and slowly musicians started getting work. Meanwhile it was also observed that many local native artists who kept age old traditions and art alive from many generations were still not getting work.\n\nWith this background, Maadhurya Foundation embarked on two streams which would help not only needy full-time musicians, but also native/traditional artists and ofcourse needless to say, other allied technicians like sound providers, lighting service providers, LED Wall providers, etc who are very much instrumental in making a show happen.\n\nPrimary objectives\nOrganise music shows\nOrganise traditional shows by native local artists\nSecondary objectives\nattending to their health care\noverall wellbeing of their family\npromotion of deserving talent from economically needy families\npreservation of native/cultural art forms of India\nSo far, with generous donations and ticketed shows, we have been able to take a few steps in fulfilling our objectives and this is just a beginning.\n\nAchievements so far :\n\nPrimary :\n\n30th April 2022 – Rewind With Pancham – Hindi Musical show\n9th October 2022 – Bombe Aatavayya – A puppet show by team Rangaputthali Puppeteers\n3rd December 2022 – Nenapina Doniyali (Rajkumars) – Kannada Musical show\n9th April 2023 – Kala Sangama – Native art and culture show – Dollu Kunita, Instrumental playing by Rajyotsava awardee Mukhaveene Anjinappa, presentation on importance of BEES.\n19th August 2023 – Upcoming hindi musical show – Rewind With Jabardast Jodis. Looking forward to your presence and support.\nSecondary :\n\nDuring December 2022 – we were able to collect and contribute funds for a successful Angioplasty procedure of a senior musician (name withheld for privacy reasons, will be provided on request in private) in collaboration with Rotary Indiranagar, Jayadeva Hospital and like minded friends and family.\nDuring April 2023 – we were able to sponsor cataract operation in the left eye for one of native artists Mukhaveene Anjinappa\nWe hope to continue to make a difference wherever possible within our capacity.\n\nWe look forward to your generous support for the above mentioned cause. Contributions are welcome."
