Indian Classical Concert
This day is dedicated to the classical musical tradition of India – the Hindustani tradition of the North and the Carnatic tradition of the South, as experienced and interpreted by the two young performers; Hindusthani Classical trained Bhumika Anantharaman and Carnatic Classical Vocalist K.Lavanya.
The recital will bring you the essence of both the traditions with spontaneous improvisation techniques interspersed with complex rhythms and syncopation, which forms the framework for the classical devotional music of India.
