About the facilitator:

Priya Muthukumar goes entirely bonkers when she comes across an interesting story. She has to let it out, she has to tell the story!  Aha..and that's how she became a storyteller!  She has told stories in schools, colleges, museums, parks, corporate offices, railway stations (yes, yes!) etc. to children and adults across different backgrounds.  She loves nature and  all kinds of stories , hence she never forgets to add a nugget of environmental wisdom in all of her narrations. 
  
Priya is a performance-storyteller and is the founder of the storytelling initiative, Storipur, Bengaluru. She is a translator who translates children's books from English to Tamil. She writes 'sustainability stories' for magazines, works as a workshop-consultant for educational institutions and is  currently working with schools closely to use stories in teaching. Songs, rhythms, movements, discussions...are all part of her  interactive, fun storytelling sessions. She strongly believes that if one needs to know about the culture, one needs to listen to the stories! And if one needs to change the culture, then the stories told too need to change.
