Fever Dream: Fever Dream:A Sharp, Satirical Take on Climate Change Premieres in Bengaluru

The world is getting hotter and the time to act is now. But what if there were a technology that could save us from the blistering heat of global warming? That’s the provocative question at the heart of Fever Dream an original satirical play produced by Tafreehwale and presented by the Climate Culture Collective (CCC) incubated by Asar Social Impact Advisors. The play premieres on Friday October 17 2025 at the Bangalore International Centre (BIC).

Set on the stage of a fictional tech reality show Tech Fever the story follows three eccentric innovators- Viren Shree and Deepak as they unveil their revolutionary invention: “Cool Pods” a device designed to shield humanity from the rising heat. The grand prize is a ₹2 crore seed fund and the chance to save millions of lives. But as ambition absurdity and desperation collide the question looms: Will they save the planet or is this just another fever dream?

Combining biting satire with humour and heart Fever Dream uses theatre to probe one of the most urgent questions of our time: Is there really a technocratic solution to the climate crisis? Absurd sharp and disarmingly funny the play urges audiences to rethink how we talk and act on climate change.

Performed in English the 60-minute production is suitable for audiences aged 12 and above. For those who want to engage with the climate crisis without feeling anxious or overwhelmed Fever Dream promises an evening that’s both thought-provoking and entertaining.
