Through this imagery, I have tried to explore the concept of pratityasamutpada. Everything is interconnected in this universe. From tiny atoms to vast galaxies, from the simplest to the most complex, from the mighty to the minute…everything is linked and is connected…and within these circles of life is the beautiful flowering lotus. Stating, “Yes, I am!" – Aditi MangaldasDance 2  at 7:45 PM‘The Star’"" (Dhruva)—The Path to BrillianceA unique dance drama feature presenting ‘the making of a star’; deriving inspiration from the legend of 'Dhruva.' Art, being the most appropriate and excellent medium to bring out every aspect of life in the universe, from microcosm to macrocosm, has been used intelligently to trace the journey of this young boy, Apoorva, who goes on to become a star. As the protagonist Apoorva narrates the story to his friends, they delve in and get immersed in the world of Dhruva. They experience transformation in their own lives and embark on a journey to find meaning in their existence.There is grandeur, beauty, and mystique in this dance drama, which runs in parallel between two timelines as it questions the human emotions, life, and purpose; addresses issues faced by present-day children, such as peer pressure and discrimination/bias; and reiterates the role of nature to nurture life & the importance of preserving our forests/natural resources.
