Adam Shapiro: Unframed
Unframed' is a window into timelessness
and letting in the light is our artist on
display, Adam Shapiro. The show takes you
through Shapiro’s journey from Hydra to
Hampi, focusing on the way he experienced
every one of these days unfolding
before him. Shapiro has been a figurative
painter for most of his life. It was only
about 6 years ago that he began to play
and experiment with abstraction. In the
show, Shapiro literally comes unframed,
showcasing his abstract work for the first
time ever. This series explores a palette
rather divergent from his figuratives,
incorporating colours that come in sharp
contrast with his earthy landscapes.
Shapiro paints a part of his inner self in
every work he creates, bringing us this show
which is so much more than just an exhibit — it’s
the intimacy of a personal diary on display.
The exhibition opens on February 23rd, showcasing over 30 oil paintings by Adam Shapiro. Do join us for the inauguration which begins at 6pm.
