TLGBQIA+ Neighbor Speed Meet

We're back with our first speed meet of 2025~ Join us for an evening of social connection to build local queer/trans community!

As always, this event is free! Masks are required to participate in the speed meet and will be provided.

How does it work?

Speed meeting is like speed dating, but with a more expansive lens. We'll provide name tags and flagging stickers, so you can indicate what you're looking for - whether that's friends, lovers, or comrades in the coming revolution. When you sign up for a speed meeting round, we'll give you "match cards" to fill out with you name, pronouns, what kinds of connections you're looking for, and whatever contact information you'd like to share. When you sit down to chat with someone new, you'll exchange match cards and can take notes on the card of your potential match with anything you'd like to remember for later- whether that's a niche shared interest, compataible covid precuations, or how cute you think they are ;) Not sure what to say? We provide a list of icebreaker questions at each table to help get the conversation flowing. After 5 minutes, we'll announce it's time to switch, and you'll rotate seats (or sit and wait for someone new to join you) and join in a new conversation.

We'll also set up a cruising board, where you can post personals, advertise services/your business, or missed connections. We'll post cruising board ads on our instagram after the event.

At capacity for new friends? We'll also have a clothing swap set up so you can recycle your old clothes and find your new summer gender~

Who is this for? This event is for queer and trans identified greater Baltimore City community members. If you're TLQGBIA+-identified, live, work, attend school, organize, socialize, or are otherwhise a part of the Baltimore community, this is for you!

While this is a free event, we accept donations to support future programming and ensure we can continue providing free, covid-safer queer community events :)

Accessibility:

Peabody heights has an accessible paved outdoor patio area and ADA accessible bathroom. Our event will take place outdoors in a section of the patio area and indoors in a dedicated room attached to the patio where masks are required. While we will ensure folks participating in our event are masking, the brewery will be open and masks are not required in the taproom or other portions of the patio area. When signing up for the speed meet, we will have the option to indicate a preference to remain seated and not "rotate" your seat during the event. We encourage participants to not wear strong fragrances, to help make the space more accessible for neighbors with chemical or sensory sensitivies.
