Please join us of our April 6 conference on Religion and the City at Morgan State University. We are pairing scholars and community organizers for a series of talks that explore how religion shapes cities like Baltimore and vice versa. The talks will engage topics on:
art & racial justice,
dance & ethno-religious identity,
religious inspirations for road infrastructure & white supremacy,
historical walking tours with religious significance,
Islam & urban poverty,
Rohingya Muslim refugees in Buddhist majority Chittagong Bangladesh,
faith based activism,
& religious responses to gun violence.
