Primitive Man is a Denver-based extreme metal trio formed in 2012, known for their harrowing blend of doom, death, noise, and sludge. Fronted by vocalist/guitarist Ethan Lee McCarthy, the band crafts music that is as crushingly heavy as it is bleak, layering suffocating riffs with walls of distortion and anguished vocals. Through acclaimed releases on labels like Relapse Records and relentless touring, Primitive Man has become a defining force in extreme doom, pushing heaviness to new, devastating extremes.
