Skill Share Description: What if I told you that the safest and healthiest cure to a headache isn’t found in the aisle of your local Ph*rm*cy, but instead, could be found growing in your own garden? Join me for a dynamic conversation about the healing properties of plants. I’ll discuss the value of holistic, alternative medicine as well as some tips on how to begin incorporating medicinal herbs into your everyday life. Participants will have the opportunity to try a few things from my plant Ph*rm*cy as well as walk away with a simple recipe card. Bio:
Qubilah (pronounced kwa-bee-lah) is a holistic wellness enthusiast who believes in the healing power of nature’s medicine: plants, herbs, roots, + flowers. She began her wellness journey in 2010 following a painful gallstone attack that radically changed her thoughts and feelings about conventional disease prevention and management practices seen throughout the Western world. Qubilah dreams of a world where medicine is more broadly defined and understood, and is, more importantly, safe, accessible, and crafted with intention.
Her current projects include developing an online platform that will serve as a one-stop shop for curated wellness content that covers everything from food nutrition to tips on how to start an herbal Ph*rm*cy of your own. She also recently began hosting events in partnership with black women in the Baltimore wellness scene.
