This class is for City of Baltimore employees who are responsible for entering information into the HRIS system

HRIS Edit User Training will provide hands-on instruction on how to perform the following tasks in HRIS:

Employee Record Updates

Job Requisitions

Position Action Requests (PAR's)

Hiring Processes




Other Human Resources Related Tasks

Required Documentation: All forms below must be completed and submitted at least one week prior to beginning of class date. Participants with incomplete forms and/or missing documents will not be permitted to attend class.

Complete the online training registration process by clicking on SELECT A DATE to choose your selection.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will:

Understand the Personnel Life Cycle in HRIS

How to submit and manage personnel actions using the City’s HRIS database

Understand key roles and responsibilities used within HRIS

Target Audience:       City Employees responsible for entering information into HRIS

                     7 E. Redwood Street / 14th Floor / Douglass Computer Lab

Price:            $300 per person

DHR L&D Cancellation Policy

Upon confirmation of enrollment, employees should note the date(s), time(s) and location of the training class(s) on their personal calendars and make every effort to attend as scheduled. Employees should be considerate and understand that by failing to attend a class as scheduled, they limit another employee who may have been able to attend. Any request to cancel a registration needs to be received at least three working days prior to the scheduled class date. If notification is not received at least three working days prior to the class start date, or the applicant does not show up for class, the applicant will be considered a "no-show". The agency will be charged for the full amount and no credit or refund will be issued. DHR Learning & Development Division reserves the right to cancel a class if the number of registrations received is such that it would make it cost prohibitive to conduct the class.
