Ghost Stories with the Baltimore Krampus

Join the Baltimore Krampus in the dead of winter in the up stairs room at Alexander's Tavern to tell of your encounter with ghosts and things that go bump in the night. (No urban legends, we want to hear your first hand experience! ) Employees of Alexander's will relate their own tales about the haunting of the building we are in!

Come in Costume or wear your human suit and remain in disguise.

Telling ghost stories at Christmas is an old English tradition, peaking in the Victorian era with Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, blending pagan winter solstice beliefs (thinning of the veil between worlds) with fellowship, providing spooky fun during long winter nights, though it waned with Halloween's rise but sees revivals. People gathered by firelight to share tales of spirits, linking the darkness of midwinter with spectral visitations.
