Highwire Improv's expert instructors will be with you every step of the way, holding the space to make silly choices, explore comedy, and learn how to create art together. By the end of the class, you will be an ensemble ready to host and put on a full student showcase!Each class session will run from 7-9pm ET, with optional time available after class to discuss and debrief.Week 1 (Sept 14): Review, Scenes, and EditingWeek 2 (Sept 21): A to C ThinkingWeek 3 (Sept 28): Game of the SceneWeek 4 (Oct 5): SceneworkWeek 5 (Oct 12): Openings, Initiations, Group ScenesWeek 6 (Oct 19): Putting a Show TogetherWeek 7 (Oct 26): Student Showcase!This class is in-person, but Highwire Improv also offers online classes - check out our page for other offerings!About your instructors:Ann Altar (she/her) is a visual artist and performer. She is charming, funny and incredibly modest. She is passionately curious about the world around her and hopes to empower others through her work as an educator. She’s a bold, bald badass.Misty Letts (she/they) stepped into the improv pool 8 years ago and has not looked back. She got her footing at Baltimore Improv Group (BIG) through curriculum and workshops from various BIG instructors, digging into opportunities to learn from talented performers including Don Fanelli (UCB), Kate Zelensky (UCB), and Travis Charles Ploeger (iMusical- WIT). She has also enjoyed playing with Maryland Improv Collective and can presently be found camped out on Highwire’s front stoop. Misty can be found on two wheels tooling about town, so drive carefully!About Highwire Improv:Highwire Improv is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization based in Baltimore, Maryland.
