Join Henson Grant award-winning duo Shadow Girls Cult in a 2-hour overhead projector shadow puppetry workshop focused on 2-D/flat mechanics. SGC will offer a behind-the-scenes demo of a wide variety of flat mechanics used in their award-winning show, UNRAVELING, including: links, pivots, returns, levers and more! Participants will then create their own version of SGC’s signature opening eyes, and have the opportunity to test and refine their work on the overhead projectors. 

Although this workshop is geared towards participants with at least a basic understanding of overhead projector shadow puppetry, all are welcome to join! 

Bio:
Shadow Girls Cult is an award-winning queer shadow puppetry and projections duo based out of Seattle, WA. Using overhead projectors, adapted camera irises, 2-D
shadow puppets, human silhouettes, and other analog technology, they create puppet magic for audiences all over the U.S.
