Because Kwaneta and Kim remain incarcerated, the event will feature a live reading of selections from their work, followed by a recorded Q&A in which they reflect on their writing and the role of books in Pr*son.This event benefits Baltimore Books Through Bars, a volunteer organization that provides free books to people incarcerated in Maryland. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase books and donate funds to cover postage, ensuring that more people behind bars have access to the education, relief, and human connection that reading provides.
