Fix-It Fair is a free event hosted by the Station North Tool Library and open to the public. At Fix-It Fair, you’ll find tools and materials to help you make common repairs on clothes, furniture, electronics, bikes, etc. Experienced volunteers, with repair skills in all kinds of fields, will be on-site to assist people with their repairs.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Visitors bring their broken items from home and work with volunteer "fixers" to diagnose and make repairs. Working together to fix broken items becomes an interactive and ongoing learning process!
WHAT CAN I BRING? Bicycles, Clothing/textiles, Computers and devices, Small pieces of furniture, Small household appliances, Small electrical fixes, Dull knives and tools, Jewelry, Toys
WILL YOU FIX IT FOR ME? Visitors will work with our fixers to learn how to repair their items. We provide most materials for common fixes and hands-on instruction. We make no guarantee of repairs and longer, more in-depth repairs may be referred to a local repair service. We can guarantee we will try our best to help with your fixes!
