2026 U16 Representative Program Details
Age & Eligibility Requirements for Selection Group
Must be a Full-Time Primary Registered BWHA Member.
Age Group: U16 players must be born in 2011 or 2010 (turning 15 or 16 years in 2026).
Tournament Dates
U16 Southern Cross: Sunday, 2 August (Toowoomba)
U16 State Championships: 20 - 23 September 2026 (Rockhampton)
Costs
Trial Nomination Fee per Player: $65 per player
Tournament Cost per Selected Player: TBA
Self-Organised Travel and Accommodation
To prioritise player safety, especially in relation to underage members, athletes are required to self-organise their accommodation to help ensure they are in a safe environment and allow for adequate supervision. It also allows families to choose accommodation that suits their budget and, where possible, enables athletes to stay with relatives. This can help ease the financial burden often associated with representative tournaments.

Trial 1: Sunday, 21st June - 6:30am - 11:30am
Trial 2: Sunday, 12th July - 6:30am - 11:30am
Trial 3: Sunday, 19th July - 6:30am - 11:30am
Please note Southern Cross is no longer apart of trials.
First Aid At Trials
BWHA does not have a designated first aid officer at trials in order to help reduce costs. However, the BWHA staff member is qualified in first aid. Players should approach them immediately if any assistance is needed.
