Looking for something fun for your little creator this December?
Aimed at those over 10 years but please use your adult discretion as hand and machine sewing is needed
December – Fridays – 9.30 am – 12.30 pm – with Ronnie and Debbie
We encourage you to bring your own machine so you can learn it. However you can use our machines. You will also need a basic sewing kit including scissors, thread, pins and or sewing clips, unpicker. A basic patchwork kit can be purchased. Of course any thing you forget can be purchased.
5th Christmas Coasters
Come and make a very cute coaster and learn -
• the basics and safety of using a rotary cutter and cutting mat
• the basics of your machine
• the basics of patching and quilting.
12th Christmas Placemat
Use your straight sewing to complete raw edge applique and add a pocket, after you have made the quilt sandwich and bound the edges of your placemat.
Kits included in price to make one placemat.
19th Log cabin table runner
Using your skills it is now time to learn one of the most basic and oldest pattern, the Log Cabin block.
Access our pile of scraps and learn how to pick scraps and fabric suitable for log cabin patchwork.
$50 per person for each 3 hour session.
All fabric and necessary bits and pieces are included in price.
Unlimited cups of tea, coffee, water and biscuits supplied. Please advise any requirements.
