A notebook and pencil will be provided so you can record your geological observations!Who is it forAdults (14+ years) with an interest in geology and/or artGeology enthusiasts, students, or anyone curious about understanding Scotland from a different point of viewNo previous experience in geology or art is required, just an interest in observing the world around youAccessibilityThis event takes place during a 4-mile walk along the banks of Loch Lomond. The path is mostly gravelled; however, to reach some of the observation points, there will be scrambling. Participants should be comfortable walking on uneven ground and being on their feet for up to 3 hours at a gentle pace. We will have stop points where you can sit; however, this will be on the ground, unless you bring a collapsible chair. A good level of fitness is recommended.We will meet at the Balmaha Visitor Centre, where there are pay toilets and parking (£4.10 for the day).Please wear comfortable, sturdy footwear and suitable clothing for the weather. Unfortunately, this event is not suitable for those with limited mobility or who require step-free access.
