Join Siegurd Van Leusen and step into the centuries-old tradition of birch bark weaving. This enduring craft, still practiced in regions such as the Baltic States, Russia, Japan, and Scandinavia, celebrates the natural beauty and versatility of birch bark.
Throughout this immersive workshop, you’ll learn traditional weaving techniques while developing a deeper understanding of the material itself, including its varieties, how it is traditionally harvested, and what to look for when sourcing quality bark.
