Join VOX vocal ensemble as we mark two decades of choral excellence in Ballarat. This special anniversary concert traces our journey from humble beginnings to the present day, revisiting repertoire from our earliest performances and exploring the bold musical directions that have shaped our 20 year history.
The concert features highlights from some of VOX’s many concerts, including works by Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, Peter Maxwell Davies, Anton Bruckner and Giovanni Gabrieli. But we also look to the future with works by contemporary Australian composers, with a particular focus on some from Ballarat. The program will also include the performance of new works by Dan Forrest, Joseph Twist and Jennifer Lucy Cook that reflect VOX’s evolving identity and artistic vision for the years ahead.
This milestone event will bring together past and present members of VOX in a vibrant celebration of community, creativity and the unifying power of song.
We warmly invite you to join us for afternoon tea during interval, where you can meet VOX members, reconnect with friends and reflect on the music and memories that have defined the VOX experience over the past 20 years. Held in the beautiful surrounds of the BPAC Chapel and Middle Hall, this is an afternoon not to be missed.
