Family willow weaving workshop

Family willow weaving, half day workshop.

There is a certain beauty in weaving, the smell of the willow, the feel of the bark, seeing your very own grow in front of your eyes.

This will be a family half day workshop where you and your family will have the opportunity to learn about different weaving materials, how to collect and prepare them and most importantly on this day, how to use them to create a choice of simple projects from Catalan plates, to bird feeders, stars to flowers.

*Adults only permitted accompanied by children.

Variable pricing depending on family size.

Rowenna has over 20 years of experience in leading workshops and is an experienced Arts in Health practitioner, having worked in the private and public sector leading workshops and creating commissioned work from simple baskets to 8' snowdrops.

The workshop will be held near Bala, nestled between the Berwyn hills and the legendary Llyn Tegid.

What you need to bring:
- Comfortable clothing and possibly, your slippers.
- Secateurs, if you have a pair.
- Bodkin or a flat head screw driver, if you have one.
- A packed lunch.
- Cushions for your own comfort.
- Waterproofs in case you fancy taking a short walk during the lunch hour to the lake shore or up the valley.
- A readiness to learn and embrace a new skill that will have you looking at baskets, hedgerows and your neighbours gardens in a whole new light.
