Beginner Hike and Sketch

A gentle hike via a range of interesting rock formations found on Hathersage moor and the old Grey Millstone quarries. A walk packed with the time to sketch, and learn about the history of landscape as we go.
A chance to slow down in nature and absorb the details we don't often give ourselves the chance to. This is a hike of approximately 3km with a mix of footpaths and some uneven or rocky terrain at times. Very beginner friendly from a hiking and sketching perspective - no experience needed.

Please bring your sketchbook and preferred sketching tools (pencil, charcoal etc). Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for an outdoor session, hiking shoes are ideal if you have them. You may wish to bring a sit mat and extra layers to keep warm while we sit and sketch. Ensure you bring enough food and water to keep you going!
If weather is poor, the event may be rescheduled - check your email for updates.
Note that Surprise View Car park is a paid for car park, so please do give yourself enough time to pay for your parking before our start time. There is also a bus stop right at the car park entrance if you are using public transport.
