Just for families with Autistic children.About this EventJoin us as we offer in partnership for a 5th year with Bakersfield Recreation & Parks-McMurtrey Aquatic Center, Autism Family Swim Day! In an effort to offer programs and activities for our local Kern Autism Families, we are happy to offer this one day experience to socialize with other Autism families while enjoying the water in this warm Bakersfield weather. This event requires registration and is ONLY OPEN to Autism Families. See pool and facility rules for the reserved swimming area:McMURTREY AQUATIC CENTERPOOL & FACILITY RULES1. All patrons entering the facility must pay mandatory entry fees.2. For your safety, everyone must obey the rules and direction of the Lifeguards and AquaticStaff.3. Children under 48” require one-on-one adult supervision within arm’s reach.4. Swim diapers are required for all diapered guests.5. Proper swim attire is required for those entering the pool.6. Only U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets are allowed.7. Must be 48” to ride the slides.8. The following are not allowed:• Masks, fins, snorkels, or non-approved floatation devices*• Running on deck• Hanging, sliding, or diving from ladders or pool ropes• Climbing on water play apparatus• Horseplay, sitting on shoulders, or throwing of patrons• Pets, drugs, alcohol, or smoking• Skateboards, roller blades, scooters, and/or bicycles• Items that could be dangerous to your safety and the safety of others• Oil-based tanning products• Open sore or cut• Abusive language or profanity9. Diving allowed in designated areas only. Diving boards are open during supervised divingprograms and special events only.10. Food, drinks other than water, and glass containers are not allowed in the facility. A snack bar is available.11. Please secure personal items, the City and staff are not responsible for anything lost, stolenor damaged.12. Pools or recreation apparatus may be closed without prior notice at the discretion of the City.13.
