The hike is an out-and-back route (approximately 3 miles total) of moderate difficulty (~460 ft elevation change) recommended for ages 10 and up. NOTE: The trail is located about 5 miles from the main parking lot.This event is FREE, but participants must register and can choose to either ride with staff or drive a personal vehicle (high-clearance vehicles only).Event is subject to cancellation due to unsafe weather conditions.Please plan to arrive at the Crossing parking lot by 9:15am for check-in. Only registered participants will be admitted (NO WALK-UPS). From there, we will drive about 5 miles (past a locked gate) on the canyon road to the El Camino Viejo Wilderness trailhead. Program duration includes travel time to and from trailhead.Space is limited! Reservations are required and open on Saturday, February 14th at 8:00 a.m. You can register up to 3 people (if riding w/ staff).
