We have developed our course to be sure that you have an enjoyable experience learning with us! *****Course Information:Course & Range Qualification• The License to Carry Certification Course is drafted by the Texas Department of Public Safety and will cover the 4-6 hour minimum in-class requirement with a shooting range qualification necessary to file your License to Carry application with the state of Texas Department of Public Safety.Course Topics• Laws that relate to weapons and to the use of deadly force• Handgun use and safety including use of restraint holsters & methods to insure carrying openly carried handguns.• Non-Violent Dispute Resolution• Proper storage practices for handguns with an emphasis of storage practices that eliminate the possibility of accidental injury to a child.• Licensing Requirements• Pass a 25-question knowledge test.****** AS A SAFETY RULE NO LIVE AMMUNITION OR LOADED FIREARMS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM!! ******Range Qualification• Applicants are required by the state of Texas to qualify at a live fire range. For this you will need to bring your personal firearm, 50 rounds of the correct caliber ammunition for your firearm, cap with a bill, ear and eye protection. Please Dress Accordingly, No Open Toed Shoes Or Low Cut Shirts On The Range!! (Bring your firearm, a cap with a bill, wear a high collar shirt, & closed-toed shoes for the range portion of this course!)**** Please feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks for the classroom portion and a lunch. We also provide some delicious homemade snacks! (If you have any food allergies please let us know.)
