A child's sense of wonder is something to be celebrated and developed. Families can strengthen and deepen this curiosity with their children using some simple tools and scientific habits of mind!On our fun hike together, we'll explore YOUR questions and follow your child's curiosity. What do ladybugs eat? Do we have any venomous snakes in the Puget Sound area? And how can you tell the difference between a fir, a spruce, and a pine tree anyway?Learn and be able to teach the "Fab Five" native trees, common bird species, and gain skills to use your senses to unravel nature mysteries and observed phenomena.Friendly educators will lead this program and share tools and resources on how to continue your journey as naturalists and curious intellectuals, and we'll model how to use these tools during the program.
