1929 “People on a Sunday”(German: "Menschen am Sonntag") is a1929 German silent film directed by Robert Siodmak and Edgar G. Ulmer, with contributions from Billy Wilder and Fred Zinnemann. It's a landmark film of the New Objectivity movement in German cinema, known for its realistic portrayal of everyday life in Berlin. The film follows a group of young Berliners enjoying a Sunday outing at the Wannsee lake, featuring non-professional actors and a focus on capturing the atmosphere of the city and the spirit of the time.
