Descending into Soul

Welcoming all souls who are seeking deep rest, play, community, and winter nourishment. Join Val and Maria for a weekend mountain retreat and sacred journey with mushrooms, community, somatic practices, & more.

Winter is a natural time for descending and tending to the quiet murmurs and inner workings of your soul. As the darkest and coldest season, winter can be a heavy time accompanied by feelings of stuckness and depression. But the medicine of the season is an invitation for restorative practices, inward reflection, creative flow, and soulcraft. This weekend retreat marks a potent time of transition – just before the Spring Equinox and the return of more sunlight and warmer days. The movement of winter into early spring provides us a powerful opportunity to receive the wisdom of mushrooms and connect with the natural medicine of the season.

This retreat is open to all. Whether you are new to mushrooms and looking for guidance or you are an experienced journeyer who enjoys healing in community, we invite you to join us.

Whats included?

We will stay in a mountain house in Bailey, Colorado, located about a 1-hour drive west of Denver. The house provides mountain views, hot tub and dry sauna, outdoor firepit, spacious bedrooms, and cozy gathering spaces.

Retreat includes lodging, meals, guided breathwork and sound journeys, gentle yoga, group and partner workshops, 1:1 meetings with practitioners during retreat, creative supplies, and pre/post retreat integration calls. Transportation not included.

Integration is a key part of this experience. Each attendee will receive a 1:1 follow up session with one of the practitioners 2-4 weeks after the retreat, and there will also be a group video call with all participants and the hosts 4 weeks after to continue processing, sharing, and building community.

Meet your hosts:

Maria is a psychotherapist and death doula devoted to supporting people through the many thresholds of life with a sense of wonder and delight. Weaving with integrative somatic arts and liberation psychology, her approach is an organic and creative pathway into acceptance of your wise self and true nature.

Val is a licensed therapist, breathwork facilitator, and reiki practitioner who is passionate about supporting her clients and community through their growth or healing journeys. With a passion for integrating psychology and the wisdom of your own body, Val offers a unique combination of knowledge and experience to help you process your past, explore your potential, and connect to your most authentic version of you.
