Schedule for the day:

9am - Hattaway Mountain hike - 3.2 miles, 500 ft TEG, difficulty rating is Moderate.  This hike leaves from the Visitor Center where we are meeting!

11am - Social Hour

Noon - CHILI LUNCH - Jim and Nancy's famous chili made with lots of beefy goodness as well as vegan chili full of veggie goodness, various drinks and whatever delicious foods and goodies club members bring for the potluck portion of our meal!!!

12:30pm - Program - We are very excited to welcome Jeff Michael to be our speaker!  Jeff Michael was the founding executive director of the Land Trust for Central North Carolina (now Three Rivers Land Trust), has served on the boards of Morrow Mountain State Park Advisory Committee and Preservation North Carolina, and is currently the NC DNCR Deputy Director for Natural Resources, managing the North Carolina Zoo, Division of State Parks and Recreation, NC Museum of Natural Sciences, North Carolina Aquariums, and Division of Land and Water Stewardship. 

~2pm (after the lunch and program have ended) - Fall Mountain Hike - 4.1 miles, 534 ft TEG, difficulty rating is Moderate.  This hike will leave from the boat landing parking lot, an easy quick drive from the Visitor Center.
