Hey Water Protectors!
Without water (Nibi) freedom is unobtainable.
"Thirsty Third Thursday" is going to happen again at the Backus bike trail parking lot. See attached for a map.
Coming up this Thursday, April 15, from 6 - 7:30 pm (or so), we are hosting a fun and peaceful event to call attention to the vital nature of clean water and the craziness that is Line 3.
Forget your taxes and join with us in examining the relationship between oil and hazardous chemical production, and supporting the many alternatives. We will look at the difference between the two philosophies at odds; the fear-based impossibility camp (we can't do this, we can't do that), and the knowledge-based inevitability camp (we can do anything, and many of the new energy ideas are already happening).
To restate, this is intended to be a fun, peaceful event. The Cass Co Sheriff and deputies have been quite respectful of our right to assemble.
If you would, bring 2 quarts of water (preferably in clear glass) to the event. We'll line them up, and then any who wish can have a sample to evaluate for various attributes (bring your own clean vessel for the test).
The entity that conducts the most favored water to the event shall receive not less than $50 US dollars (that's right 50), and an automatic entry into a possible end of summer "Water Protector Showdown" or similar.
Disclaimer: no warranty expressed or implied for actual value of foldy green paper such as the dollar. Perhaps the value of the dollar should be based in water? Just a thought.
An important part of this event will be visioning for the future, asking for the Creator's assistance and direction, and holding good intent and compassion for all people and things, including those who still have an opposing view.
I would like to remind you that corporations like enbridge and RD Offutt Co. are imaginary human entities granted corporeal status by the legal system, and that these works of fiction are neither entitled to nor need kind consideration.
Last month we enjoyed some very good music, partook of water from very different geographic areas , and had some good laughs in the midst of the community-disassembling that comes with enbridge operations.
Winona took home the prize as a result of conducting maple sap to the event, easily the hands-down favorite. There were some dramatic differences in the water that was there, and the ability of water to absorb its surroundings was demonstrated completely.
Charley Wagner will be back again this month, he was kind enough to share his music in combination with melodious mother Kathy.
Here's another of his songs:
Continue to hold good intent for all!
Thank you Everyone,
May the Creator Bless you,
