From the beach and surrounding landscape to the quieter details of Normandy life, there will be plenty to photograph and explore.Did you know part of Sword Beach was originally included in the D-Day plans but was ultimately not used as a landing area?We’ll take time to explore this lesser-known part of the D-Day story, while looking at how the landscape has changed and what traces of its history remain today.The day is aimed at photographers of all experience levels. Bring your camera, take your time, explore the area, and find your own perspective on a landscape shaped by one of the most significant events of the 20th century.Expect a relaxed day of photography, exploration and history across the Normandy coast.We will end at the Pegasus Bridge Museum if you wish to enter after the event.WHY JOIN MARKMark is a qualified photographer and trainer with over 30 years of experience as a freelance photographer, and holds a Master's degree in photography, in addition to a BA (Hons) photography degree, among other media qualifications.On first submission, Mark was awarded by his peers at the Royal Photographic Society, Licentiate Distinction.
