'The Steamie' is a Comedy drama adapted from Tony Roper’s play, set in 1953 in a Scottish washhouse. Dolly, Magrit, Doreen, and Mrs. Culfeathers are among the women who gather to gossip about anything and anyone. The film provides a comic insight into the wives of working men during the 1950s in Glasgow. Runtime: 79 minutes.
