Welcome to Country Rat Race this sports blends elements of Urban Rat Race, Earth Dog, Trailing & Locating and Tracking sport and is appropriate for dogs with NO previous rat sport experience. The purpose of CRR is to demonstrate a dog’s vermin hunting ability in a country setting. CRR tests the dogs hunt drive, combined with ability to work effectively with handler as a team. Dogs Handler Teams will be Tracking the scent of rats and will be on the hunt to find them. This outdoor Rat Sport will prove to be fun for Dog Handler Teams. 

This workshop is perfect for dog handler teams who want to Try the COUNTRY RAT Race experience and learn all there is to know about this dynamic sport. This entry-level workshop is perfect for dogs and handlers who are brand new to Rat Sports—no prior experience required. Whether you're just starting out or looking for a fresh adventure, this workshop promises tail-wagging fun and a fantastic bonding experience.
Prerequisite: None. Just bring your curiosity and your canine partner’s nose!

After the morning workshop, we will have an official COUNTRY Rat Race Trial at the CUBS level, featuring all elements: Dogs who participated in the morning workshop will receive entry fees at 40% of the regular entry fee on the day of the workshop. A great opportunity to get you started in this great sport, and no better deal.
