Join us for a day filled of horses with food and drinks provided by Jersey Boyz and Frosty Dragon. We will have a 50/50 raffle as well! $5 gate fee for entry to the ranch. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHAIRS IF YOU PLAN TO SPECTATE
September 2, 2025, we lost an irreplaceable member of the horse community. James Flowers, better known and dearly loved as Mr. Goat was an inspiration, mentor, and true icon among horsemen and horsewomen alike.
Born and raised in Bingham, South Carolina, Goat was proudly known as the Bingham Cowboy. His love for horses began as soon as he could walk, and his lifelong journey in the saddle started with his very first horse, Tater Bug. Horses were not just a passion for Mr. Goat, they were a way of life.
By trade, Goat was a mechanic and dedicated 34 years of service to Dillon Tractor. Beyond his work, he was an amazing brother, grandfather, great-grandfather. His love of his granddaughter Layklyn Todd and great-granddaughter Isabella was unmatched. He was also the beloved husband of Sherry Flowers, with whom he shared 31 wonderful years of marriage.
Mr. Goat and Ms.Sherry were devoted horse lovers, owning more than 50 horses throughout their life together. Their love story began fittingly in the arena, where they met while competing against one another in barrel racing and pole bending. Their bond was so deeply rooted in the horse community that they were married in the arena of the old Horry Saddle Club. Among Mr. Goat’s many beloved horses, Leo Lady and Chocolate stood out as his star partners.
To honor Mr. Goat in the way he loved most, we invite you to celebrate his life through horses. Please join us for the Greatest of All Time Barrel Bash on March 28, as we ride in his memory.
