As we approach the end of another busy and successful year for the River Thame Conservation Trust, we’d love for you to join us for our 2025 Volunteer Appreciation Event. This relaxed afternoon social is our opportunity to express our appreciation for the time, energy, and expertise you’ve invested throughout the year—and to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished together!

Prospective volunteers are also very welcome. If you’re interested in getting involved but haven’t had the chance yet, this event is a great way to meet the team, chat with current volunteers, and learn about upcoming opportunities in 2026.

During the afternoon, the RTCT team will share updates on how your many volunteer hours have boosted our work and expanded what we’ve been able to accomplish. We’ll also take you behind the scenes of a wide range of projects you may not normally hear about—from chalk stream recovery and farm cluster work, to our Landscape Recovery pilot, river health monitoring, species recovery efforts (including brown trout, water vole, and curlew), river restoration projects, natural flood management, floodplain meadows, and much more.

There will be plenty of time for socialising, asking questions, and giving us your feedback. Free delicious light bites will be provided by Julie of the Wingrave Sports and Social Club, and drinks will be available to purchase at the bar.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect, meet other volunteers, and celebrate the shared impact we’ve made across the catchment this year. We are extremely grateful for all the time and effort you’ve contributed—we truly couldn’t do this without you.
