The club emerged from the tough, industrial shipyards of Glasgow, standing in stark contrast to the more "gentlemanly" alpine clubs of the time. 

Come and hear some of the tales, with big John, one of Aviemore's best story tellers.

Introducing John on the night will be Lauren MacCallum.

£5 on the door.  All proceeds go to The Outward Bounds Trust, helping get less privileged young people into the outdoors.
