Corkscrew Christmas Bird Count

Calling all bird nerds and community scientists: Sign up to participate in the Audubon Christmas Bird Count for the Corkscrew Count Circle!

Our count circle includes a rich variety of habitats, covering the entire Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Bird Rookery Swamp, parts of Golden Gate Estates, Lake Trafford, Pepper Ranch, and sections of Immokalee. To cover this large area, we organize at least fourteen teams, and we’d love to have your help!

Whether you're an experienced birder or a beginner, we'll match you with a team that fits your skill level. If you’re confident and familiar with the area, you might even be assigned your own territory to cover.

Live in the count circle? You can also contribute by doing a feeder watch right from your own backyard. It's a great way to participate without committing to a full day in the field.
