Vision Zero Texas Lobby Day

We can end traffic deaths in Texas, but we need leadership from the legislature and Governor. And they need to hear your story.

Join us on Tuesday, March 12th at the Texas State Capitol in Austin to advocate for safety on Texas streets and roads. The Vision Zero Texas legislative agenda includes five life-saving reform measures:

Safe Neighborhood Streets

Consistent Statewide Hands Free

Stop for Pedestrians

End Traffic Deaths

Crash Not Accident

The day will include a panel discussion and a training before you head out with a small team to the halls of the Capitol to meet with legislative staff. Coffee and light breakfast will be supplied in the morning, and we will have another panel discussion and luncheon open to legislative staffers.

Each participant is responsible for their own transportation and lodging. Registered participants will receive details and instructions by email. The day will end at 3:30 pm at which time you may choose to walk around on some of the streets of Downtown Austin closed to car and truck traffic to experience the South by Southwest music festival.

Tickets are limited by which area of the state you represent.

To keep registration free and support the growing Texas Vision Zero movement, please consider making a donation along with your registration - or go ahead and get  your $50 ticket for the planned Vision Zero Texas evening reception in Downtown Austin on Wednesday, March 27th.

Vision Zero Texas is a project of Farm&City, a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit that elects to do some lobbying - according to IRS standards - to further its mission of preserving high quality urban and rural human habitat in Texas in perpetuity.
