South by Southwest - SXSW
Airports are a critical part of 21 Century mobility and critical infrastructure because of the amount of people and goods that move through daily. As hubs for smart growth, airport operations are vulnerable due to threats like hurricanes, active shooters, flooding, and other types of events. The changing security landscape places added responsibility on cities to build more resilience capacity. S&T’s leadership will discuss innovative ways data and emerging technologies are being adopted to make our airports more resilient against natural and man-made disasters. This session is a call to action for city leaders to look at airports as test beds for trying out digital tech advances to ensure security, trust, and privacy are protected for the whole community.
