Walking Movement Leader: Katie Deolloz is the Executive Director of Bike Austin and a 2017 Fellow of the America Walks National Walking College. She’s biked and walked thousands of miles and is committed to facilitating biking and walking opportunities to encourage people to be physically active for a lifetime. Katie is a certified walking coach and personal trainer with an Exercise is Medicine credential. She chooses to live car-free, so you may spot her walking, biking, or using public transit while moving around in Austin.Schedule, Planning, and Nearby Transit: We will meet at 10:00am in front of Quack's, next to the bike racks. Please consider taking transit, getting dropped off, or biking/walking as parking will be limited. CapMetro and Google Maps are great tools for public transit directions. We can adapt the route so you are with our group on quieter neighborhood streets.– Wear/Bring: comfortable socks & clothing, sunglasses, rain gear (if needed).– Restrooms will be available at our starting location.
